To further strengthen the economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between China and the Gulf surrounding countires, and to consolidate and expand on our exporting in the Middle East and neighboring countries, the Commerce Department made an import decision on holding the “9^th Chinese Commodities Fair Sharjah” (CCFS) in Sharjah UAE on Nov 22-25. CCFS is well known as "China's Canton Fair in the Middle East" by foreign media, which is become one of the largest and most influential, most effective, brand exhibition of our country in middle east since China was found.

In 2002, the Ministry of Commerce and the UAE emirate of Sharjah Government jointly held the first China Trade Fair in Sharjah. Sharjah as a comprehensive exhibition has been successfully held 8 times It has played a positive role in enlarging the exporting between China and middle east, and the surrounding areas in middle east,guiding China domestic Enterprises “to go global”, which was praised by the leader of the State Council and the Ministry of Commerce and the majority of exhibitors..

The exhibition covers an area of 16,000 square meters with 500 to 600 booths every year , the data for the total eighth fair showed that the total quantity of China enterprises has reach to 4000 till now, which has sent 7000 personnel to join in this fair. The buyers who comes from the local in middle east and surrounding areas in 67 countries took part in the exhibition. The overseas customers has reached 12.50000. The total transaction value is approximately $3,130,000,000.
